In modern hospitality, “good food” is no longer enough. Guests demand an experience. Tabernacle Steakhouse stands as a prime example of DIG’s ability to execute immersive design that weaves a brand’s narrative into the physical environment.
Concept to Reality
The challenge was to create a space that felt established, authoritative, yet welcoming—mirroring the brand’s culinary philosophy.
- Materiality: We utilized heavy timbers, rich leathers, and aged metals to evoke a sense of history and permanence.
- Lighting: The lighting design was crucial. We moved away from uniform illumination to high-contrast “chiaroscuro” lighting, creating intimate pockets of dining that feel private yet connected to the energy of the room.
Brand Integration
Brand integration goes beyond placing a logo on the wall. It is about how the space feels.
- Flow: The layout guides the guest journey from the decompression of the host stand to the vibrancy of the bar, and finally to the intimacy of the dining room.
- Acoustics: We engineered the acoustics to allow for the lively clatter of a steakhouse without inhibiting conversation across the table.
Tabernacle demonstrates that when Design and Implementation are aligned, the physical space becomes the brand’s strongest marketing asset.
